I would highly recommend John Greene to anyone! He was more than a realtor, he was and is a friend. John's knowledge of the real estate market on Oahu was truly impressive. He was so helpful in every way; going above and beyond on countless occasions. I've used many realtors and purchased many pieces of property in my life. John was among the very best I've had the pleasure of working with. I've already recommended him to several of my close friends without hesitation. I'll certainly use his services again. I'm a business owner myself, and I am very conscious about customer service, professionalism, and a high level of trust. My family found John Greene through the Internet. He was chosen after speaking to several other brokers, some who didn’t respond back to our calls in a timely manner, or were either somewhat evasive or hesitant to answer our specific questions directly. John was always forthright and open. He had this ease and “chill” about him which was conveyed even over the phone. We just sensed good vibes about him over the phone. When we finally met him in person, he was everything and more. My family was looking for a 1031 property exchange and time was of the essence. We found a property in Honolulu that we were interested in through the internet. Unfortunately, John was leaving for his vacation overseas. We were planning to fly out to Honolulu the day he was returning from his trip. John was our Godsend. We conveyed our interest in this property and wanted to make an offer. John said once he arrived to his destination overseas he would be in contact with us. True to his word, he contacted us. He drew up the contract offer and emailed it to us to review and sign. We felt bad for John as he was on vacation and his first night was spent staying up from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. drawing up the contract, emailing us, revising some terms followed with more emailing. He was also emailing the seller’s broker in Hawaii. Then the counter-offer was emailed back to us in San Francisco. Although John was constantly dealing with three different time zones, he always remained “chill”. He remained totally unflappable. My family and I finally flew to Honolulu and met John. We all liked him instantly. He arranged to show us the property the day after our arrival. He had already pre-arranged for a professional inspection before our arrival in Honolulu. The termite inspection was also scheduled by John. He took care of all aspects of the inspections for us. All we had to do was review the reports and discuss how we wanted to proceed. John was continuously accessible by phone, email and text. Not once did we have to wonder about what’s happening with the deal. He was always responsive, truthful in his opinions, completely informative to help us in arriving at a decision, and truly patient. I did say he was chill. When we accepted the counter-offer and signed the documents, everything went smoothly. Once the deal was completed, John had his repair guy perform all the fixes for us that were pointed out on the inspection report. Thanks to John, we no longer have to dream about owning a slice of heaven in Hawaii because we are now the proud owners of a beautiful 2-bedroom condo in Waikiki! We got to know John through Zillow in January 2017 when we started looking for an investment property in Honolulu, Hawaii. We started by exchanging emails and phone calls with John who was able to consistently provide very helpful answers to our questions in timely manner. We could tell easily that John knows the local market very well and we had confidence to work him for our purchase in Honolulu. In April 2017, we paid a visit to Honolulu and met with John in person. John took time to show quite a number of properties in Waikiki area and finally helped us to narrow done our search to Trump Waikiki. John was able to get details (including rental income, etc) for all the Trump units we visited which helped a lot for our decision making. When we finally made the offer for one unit, John was able to negotiate a great deal for us. Throughout the purchase and escrow process, John was very responsive to all the questions we had and able to provide very useful information and helpful guidance. Since we live in California, we counted on John to take care of everything for us in Honolulu and he never failed. John also helped to recommend a very good loan agent for us which is much appreciated. Our experience with John has been great. It is really lucky for us to with John who knows the local market very well and demonstrates very respectful professionalism and expertise in real estate. I would absolutely recommend John to anyone looking to purchase a home in Hawaii. I found John online after seeing some highly rated reviews of him and reached out to him regarding representing us in a real estate transaction. John understood our needs, wants, and limitations (we live in CA and were seeking to buy in Waikiki) and was intent on helping us find the perfect property. I had my eye on a condo that had gone into escrow a few weeks before our trip out to Oahu from the mainland, and it just so happened that as we were preparing to fly out, this very same condo fell out of escrow. I immediately contacted John, who was literally at the airport on his way to Tokyo, and he told me he would reach out to the listing agent and get any info he could. John did so while waiting to board his flight to Japan and got us all the information we sought. While John was away in Tokyo, he was able to help us draft an offer for the property and our offer was accepted, all while John was in Japan and we were still in CA. John stayed up at ungodly hours in Japan while ensuring that our transaction would go through. John's responsiveness, his complete transparency in his dealings, and his top notch customer service is what sets him apart from realtors we've worked with in the past. Once we flew to Hawaii, John was incredibly accommodating to our schedule even though he himself was jetlagged having just returned from Tokyo. He took us to see a few condos and gave us a tour of the neighborhoods we might be interested in. In the end, we ended up closing on the condo we had initially expressed interest in and put an offer on. He always had our best interests at heart, especially when it came to our offer price and negotiating for credits. John was more helpful than we could have imagined during the escrow process and even after closing. He arranged to have a handyman fix the minor repairs in our unit and oversaw the completion of it. John has overdelivered on every aspect of his dealings, and I could not recommend him highly enough. If you need to buy or sell, John Greene is the one for the job as your realtor. I am moving from the mainland to Honolulu and had about two days in Honolulu to find a place. With John's help we did it. I'm thrilled. I've bought and sold many properties in my life and John is the best realtor I've worked with. He stayed completely within my budget and didn't try to get me to buy something I cannot afford. Closing went smooth as could be, we were even able to close early Since I'm on the mainland, John handled everything. Will definitely use him when I move up.
